I was Academic Assistant on the MBA summer school
(Keel - B888) for four years. I have produced computer-based learning materials
for the Manufacturing Management section, using SimFactory from
CACI.
T171: You, Your Computer and the Net
I was a tutor/counsellor on this course from May '00 to October '03. The
entire course takes place on line making extensive use of First Class and has
given me a chance to apply the ideas I looked at in theory during my Masters. I
was also a national conference moderator for the course.
A172: Start Writing Essays
Started tutoring on this course Nov '03. Here I am working with both new and
experienced OU students to develop their academic writing skills. Again the
course is entirely on-line using First Class and the web.
Counselling Skills Model Course
Here I wrote scripts for phone calls that might take place between a caller and
a helpline. The scripts explored a range of telephone comunication and
counselling skills. This was initially as part of a model course for the OU and
will be used to construct a template for specific courses for organisations
needing to develop such skills.
