I produce software manuals and
support materials for my own products, see below. I also write them for various
publishers, examples include Navigator - silver Educational Software
Award 1994 - Number Tiles, Talking Rhymes, Clicker PC, Directions,
Talking Clocks, Pages etc. I have worked for the National Council for
Educational Technology producing guides to multi-media and produced
material for ACTIS . I am currently producing teacher support materials
for many of the Ten Out Of Ten range of educational software. I have
also written a huge documentation project for Logotron
(SuperLogo) which include the editing and construction of large
Windows Help Files.

|
I have written reviews and
general editorial material for Micro User, Acorn Computing, Educational
Computing and Technology, BEEBUG, Acorn User, Let's Compute,
Private Education, Key Ideas, Education Today, InteracTive, PC Kids, Arch
World, Parents and Computers, Acorn Publisher, Risc User, Internet Business
Magazine and so on. I am just starting work for Indicator LTD on
their fortnightly Internet newsletter.

| Editing
|
I was sub-editor/editorial
assistant on BEEBUG magazine from Sept. '91 until April 1994. By the end
of my time with them I was responsible for more than half of the magazine. Have
had a commissioning editor role for InteracTive subject supplements.

| Odds & Sods
|
I have written and edited
catalogues, copy for packaging and regularly produce press releases. Have
scripted and recorded the narration of two sales videos for Applied
Cytometry Systems. I am writing four childrens books. These are
currently titled; The Computer Joke Book, The Computer Puzzle Book, How to
Keep Really Dangerous Pets and The Big Book of Lies.

I was Academic Assistant on the
MBA summer school (Keel - B888) for four years. I have produced computer-based
learning materials for the Manufacturing Management section, using
SimFactory from CACI.

(Multiplication and Division) (Acorn, PC version in development). I
currently have designs in hand; Music Maker 2, and new packages for
4Mation and the BBC both under NDAs.

Internet
|
I have designed and run a
commercial course, The Internet for Business for North Notts. TEC
and North Derbyshire Business Link for whom I am an approved
training provider; I am currently in negotiation with other local TECs to do
the same. I have designed, built and continue to maintain the Topologika Web
Site at www.topolgka.demon.co.uk, a site for MGM Spares at
www.mgm-spares.demon.co.uk. and the Eastwords site at
www.fernhse.demon.co.uk. I provide the web version of Sheffield
Business Clubs (www.ukco.co.uk/sbc) newsletter and manage
their on-line membership database, using their own MS Access files and
macros which I developed myself to automatically create the directory. Sites
under development include Osmosys Records. I write a regular column in
Acorn Publisher on website design, and various pieces in Internet
Business Magazine and Indicators Internet Newsletter as well
as articles in the magazines listed above. I have written on Internet
educational marketing issues for the ISTI site. I can also provide
training in Front Page 97/8.
